Born to ride! Mayor Bloomberg yesterday straddles a massive, custom-made motorcycle built as a tribute to the reconstruction of the World Trade Center.
The chopper was unveiled near Ground Zero by its maker, Paul Teutul Jr. (behind Hizzoner), of the Discovery Channel’s “American Chopper.” A second bike will be raffled off in January to benefit the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
“There will be a lot of people out there who want a chance to own a work of art like this one,” the mayor said.
Said Teutul, “I’ve built some incredible bikes to commemorate events, but few have the significance and meaning of this one.”
