You can hear these subway announcements from the grave.

A subway line that was axed in the MTA’s service cuts last summer got top honors in a new report on the clarity of announcements.

The W line’s unexpected victory in the annual Straphangers Campaign report is further proof that with the MTA, all good things come to an end.

The survey was conducted by 51 volunteers between Jan. 26 and June 25, 2010. They heard 6,600 announcements, the report said.

The W shared the “most audible” honors with the Nos. 5 and 6 lines, which were victorious for the second year in a row.

Announcements like next stop and service change information could be heard 100 percent on all three of the lines. Researchers also rated announcements on whether they provided the correct information.

The B performed the worst, with all but 55 percent of announcements totally garbled.

Overall, an average of 83 percent of subway announcements were audible.
