A Bronx funeral home turned a grandfather’s wake into a horror show by not properly embalming or handling his body, his distraught family claimed yesterday.

In papers filed in Bronx Supreme Court, Nelson Ramos says Le Paz Funeral Home on East 149th Street handled dad José Ramos’ remains “carelessly, recklessly” and “negligently” in May — leading to a grotesque wake in Puerto Rico.

“The funeral in New York went very well, no problems,” said the family’s lawyer, Michael Lamonsoff. But by the time the body reached Puerto Rico, it was “in a horrific state of decomposure,” he said.

Family friend Nelson Ramos, 46, said, “The body was all black — his hands were all black. His lips were eaten by flies, and the smell of the body was really strong, really bad.”
