A wake is scheduled Sunday for Louis Barbati, the co-owner of the L&B Spumoni Gardens pizzeria who was gunned down outside his Dyker Heights home.
Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Scarpaci Funeral Home in Dyker Heights.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ephrem Church in Dyker Heights.
Barbati, 61, was gunned down around 7 p.m. Thursday as he returned home from work carrying $15,000 in cash, and a loaf of Italian bread. He was shot at least five times by an assailant who is described as a white man in his 30s, law enforcement sources said.
Police believe Barbati was killed in a botched robbery. The assailant did not take the cash.
Police are examining video of the house and getaway car and interviewing workers at the pizzeria in Bensonhurst to see if they heard or saw anything unusual.
