The wheelchair-riding Queens man who’s been shaking down local businesses over his alleged “handicap” was walking — and staying mum — about his appearance on Thursday’s front page of The Post.
Wheelchair-using Arik Matatov, who also claims he’s legally blind, strode out of his home in Rego Park without a problem.
“I’m — I’m — I’m not talking,” he stammered.
As he waited for his ride, Matatov whipped out a cane and was seen scanning the block for the Access-a-Ride bus.
The Post then witnessed the 24-year-old easily hop onto the bus, which pulled up after 15 minutes.
When a reporter tried to show Matatov that he was on the cover of The Post — for demanding $50,000 payments from non-handicapped-friendly businesses in Manhattan — he claimed he couldn’t see.
“I’m a legally blind person,” said Matatov, who was wearing sunglasses. “I don’t want to talk, please.”
Matatov has threatened nearly 50 business in the past few months for not being wheelchair-accessible. If they don’t cough up the cash, he then sues them for $5 million.
