An Occupy Wall Street demonstrator videotaped in a police altercation has met with prosecutors to discuss the incident.

Felix Rivera-Pitre wants prosecutors to bring assault charges against Deputy Inspector Johnny Cardona.

Attorney Ronald Kuby says prosecutors didn’t say whether they planned to do so after Monday’s meeting. He says they indicated the investigation would continue for a few weeks. The Manhattan district attorney’s office declined to comment.

Rivera-Pitre alleges the officer punched him in the head.

Police have said Rivera-Pitre tried to elbow the officer in the face. Rivera-Pitre says he “absolutely didn’t” hit the officer.

The confrontation came during an Oct. 14 march near Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan.
