A walk on the High Line may soon be bad for the waistline.

Five gourmet food carts will set up shop on the elevated park this spring, officials said yesterday.

The park is seeking proposals from food vendors “as thoughtful, creative, and innovative as the High Line itself,” according to bid documents. The revenue will go toward maintaining the park.

The operators of L’Arte Del Gelato, one of the vendors vying for a spot, said that with 2.5 million visitors each year, there’s no more desirable and scenic chow line. “It’s a unique, world- class park, and the great care that went into the design, the planning and planting of the place are much like the care we take to make our gelati and sorbetti,” said spokesman Francesco Realmuto.
