Mayor Bloomberg yesterday presented Medal of Honor recipient Salvatore Giunta with a Tiffany crystal apple, an emblem of the city’s admiration, in honor of the Army staff sergeant’s heroism in Afghanistan.

“He is a symbol of an awful lot of people who make sacrifices, have made in some cases supreme sacrifices,” Bloomberg said at a City Hall ceremony.
