War on prayer
The City Council in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, cannot recite “The Lord’s Prayer” before its meetings, the state Superior Court ruled yesterday.
The court issued a preliminary injunction halting the long-term policy pending resolution of an ACLU lawsuit that says it violates the state constitution’s ban on political endorsement of any religion.
