A Brooklyn skateboarder can be seen getting slammed to the ground after a car smashes into him in wild dashcam footage posted on Twitter by @NYScanner.
Moments before the crash, the rider is seen zooming on his board the wrong way down a one-way street. Suddenly he collides with the car.
The man soars an estimated 15 feet until he rolls underneath a parked truck — then gets up, lifting his helmet’s visor and picks up his belongings scattered across the roadway.
The car did not have a stop sign — however, the skateboarder would have had to stop if he had been traveling in the proper direction.
The dashcam’s speedometer shows the car traveling about 18 mph at the time of impact — which is 7 mph less than the speed limit.
The video also shows what appears to be an official law enforcement or emergency official placard on the dashboard. But many people and city agencies have similar plaques in their cars, a law enforcement source said.
“We are aware of the video and are looking into it,” said Sgt. Jessica McRorie, a DCPI spokesperson said.
