CARLSTADT, N.J. — Part of the New Jersey Turnpike is closed today following a gasoline tanker truck crash and explosion on the western spur.
All northbound lanes are closed between Interchange 15W in Kearny to Interchange 18W in Carlstadt.
Southbound lanes have reopened.
The tanker, carrying 8,500 gallons of fuel, erupted after colliding with a minivan Monday night.
State police say no one was seriously injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
