And that’s squall she wrote.

Incredible time-lapse footage shows the snow squall that hit New York on Wednesday — appearing to swallow up skyscrapers and causing whiteout conditions, before swiftly disappearing.

One video showed the weather event roaring across Manhattan and engulfing the Empire State Building in darkness.

Other clips taken from the top of One World Trade and the 27th floor of Rockefeller Center showed ominous white clouds of snow pouring in between buildings and obstructing light.

Snow squalls are brief but powerful blasts of powder, often swept by “strong gusty winds,” according to the National Weather Service.

The one to hit the Big Apple Wednesday afternoon dropped about 0.4 inches of snow as it swept through Central Park, according to the Weather Service.

The NWS had issued a squall warning at 4:15 p.m. for parts of New York, including the city and parts of Long Island. It stayed in effect until 5:30 p.m.

The NWS only began issuing these kinds of warning about a year ago.
