A water main break caused massive flooding in the Court Street station in Downtown Brooklyn just in time for the Thursday evening rush hour.
The break, which happened at about 3:15 pm on Montague Street, sent brown water cascading onto nearby streets and into the Court Street R station, MTA officials.
Photos that the MTA posted on Twitter show emergency responders wading through calf-high water.
R trains were routed along the Q line between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue. The agency is investigating and working to remove the water, and officials said the station likely won’t be open before the end of rush hour.
