You’re right — weekend subway trains do move at a snail’s pace, charges a watchdog group that spent the last four weeks tracking hundreds of trains.
The New York City Transit Riders Council Service found service to be way off schedule on Saturdays and Sundays, when most repairs are scheduled.
And it figures to only get worse — since the MTA plans to reduce service, the report says.
“What they claim is an additional two-minute wait will actually be closer to 10,” said MTA board member and council Chairman Andrew Albert.
