ALBANY — Anyone who paid state fees this year for a license to fish in New York’s saltwater grounds before a new system was introduced will be issued a refund, Gov. Cuomo said yesterday.
Refunds will go to recreational fishermen and charter-boat operators who purchased Recreational Marine Fishing Licenses for the 2011-12 season and to New Yorkers who got lifetime licenses.
Refunds of $1.3 million have already been issued, with about another $300,000 to go.
