Perhaps ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner shouldn’t put on his running shoes just yet. A new Quinnipiac University poll yesterday indicated that voters aren’t clamoring for his return to politics as a mayoral candidate.
Forty-four percent suggested that Weiner stay out of the race, while 41 percent urged him to run. He was also weighed down by a negative favorability rating of 33-41, a sign that the 2011 sexting scandal that drove him from office is still on voters’ radar.
