WASHINGTON — Embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) formally requested and was granted a two-week leave of absence from the US House of Representatives on Monday, as pressure mounted on the New York Democrat to resign over a sexting scandal.
The request was granted by unanimous consent.
