Anthony Weiner may have had some bad experiences with Twitter, but he’s still ready to joke about it.
The fallen former congressman — and current mayoral candidate — made light of his infamous Twitter sexting scandal at a mayoral candidate forum in Brooklyn yesterday.
When someone told the Democrat that people on Twitter were saying he was doing well at the event, he quipped, “You know how much I trust Twitter.”
All the Democratic candidates were on hand for the forum at the Manhattan Beach Jewish Center.
Each was asked, “Why should we trust you?”
To that, Weiner responded, “I’m not a perfect person,” without apologizing for his past indiscretions.
Instead, he told his constituents that he always fought for them in Congress.
