The verdict reached by a jury in the case surrounding Kanye West’s Malibu mansion could cost the rapper millions, The Post has learned.
“This is a seven figure judgement,” plaintiff attorney Neama Rahmani told The Post minutes after the jury handed down the verdict in Downtown Los Angeles.

Tony Saxon with attorney Neama Rahmani Frederick M. Brown for California PostThat means West will have to pay all attorney fees and costs which Rahmani says will reach over seven figures. “I’m not cheap,” the attorney said.
Saxon was awarded $140,000 from the Los Angeles jury because he was injured on the job. “It’s a mixed verdict” according to Rahmani. “There were wins for them and wins for us,” he said.
Wins for West according to Rahmani include the jury deciding Saxon wasn’t wrongfully terminated, he was paid everything he was owed, and there are no punitive damages — meaning West wasn’t held accountable for malicious, oppressive, or fraudulent behavior.
The big win for Saxon are the compensatory damages related to the labor violation, the actual amount will be decided during a hearing in July.
Saxon, who went face-to-face with West in court and was grilled for hours by West’s attorney Andrew Cherkasky, is glad the ordeal is over.
“He was relieved. He was dragged through the mud. I don’t think he’s ecstatic. It’s not easy” said Rahmani.

Saxon alleged unpaid wages, unsafe working conditions, and wrongful termination after he was hired to manage, secure, and live in the property during its renovation. He also claims to have suffered a back injury during the renovations.

He often answered he didn’t remember when asked about his actions regarding the beachfront property.
West’s spokesperson Milo Yiannopoulos told The Post that West is in the process of suing Saxon and his attorneys, the action “arising from their recording and publicizing of an unlawful mechanic’s lien on Ye’s Malibu property,” he said.
He continued, “The first lawsuit ended with Saxon recovering only a small fraction of what his lawyers demanded. The second lawsuit will address the far more serious misconduct surrounding the lien and the damages it caused.”
