The widow of slain NYPD cop Jason Rivera attended the funeral of her late husband’s partner, Wilbert Mora, on Wednesday, a day after penning an emotional tribute to Mora on Instagram.
Dominique Luzuriaga was pictured outside Manhattan’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where thousands converged to pay their respects to Mora, 27, who along with Rivera, 22, was shot in the head during a Jan. 21 domestic call in Harlem.
Rivera died the day of the shooting, and Mora died four days later.
Luzuriaga thanked Mora on Tuesday for supporting her husband, writing online, “Although I never met you, thank you for always being eager to work with my angel. Regardless of him being a rookie.”
Luzuriaga lambasted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg when she delivered her husband’s eulogy.
Luzuriaga paid her respects to Mora a day after writing a tribute on social media. Paul MartinkaShe drew attention last week for her eulogy at her husband’s funeral, where she criticized Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.
“This system continues to fail us. We are not safe anymore, not even the members of the service. I know you were tired of these laws, especially the ones from the new DA. I hope he’s watching you speak through me right now,” she said, addressing her husband, and receiving a standing ovation from mourners.
In her eulogy Wednesday, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell called Mora and Rivera “gifts we never got to keep.”

Mora and Rivera were both shot as they responded to a domestic call in Harlem. Paul MartinkaLuzuriaga and Rivera were childhood sweethearts who had only been married for three months before Rivera’s death.
She broke down at his funeral on Friday as she recalled the horror of seeing a cellphone alert about two officers being shot — and how she frantically tried to reach Rivera to see if he was okay.
“I’m still in this nightmare that I wish I never had, full of rage and anger, hurt and sad, torn,” she said.
