A woman who had her husband killed so she could cash in on his life-insurance policy was convicted of first-degree murder Thursday.
A Brooklyn Supreme Court jury quickly found Thursday Alishia Noel-Murray guilty of hiring three men — including her lover at the time — to gun down Omar Murray in 2013 so she could collect on two policies totaling $680,000.
Noel-Murray stood stone faced as jurors read the verdict — a sign of her heartlessness, according to her slain husband’s mother, Eunice Ashley-Henry.
“She didn’t move,” said Ashley-Henry, 59, who cried and shouted “Thank God!” as the verdict was announced. “Her mother is such a wonderful woman. I don’t know how she grew up a monster like that.”
But her steely gaze “Doesn’t mean she lacks compassion,” her attorney, Wynton Sharpe, said.
“Her father raised a strong woman,” he said.
Sentencing is set for June 29.
