A woman shot her husband square in the eye, killing him in their Brooklyn apartment, police said Saturday — but the woman’s attorney insisted cops have it all wrong.

Tiffany Brown, 27, blasted Robert Bosalavage, 39, in the bedroom of their Flatlands home on Avenue K near East 39th Street at around 5 a.m. Friday, police said.

Bosalavage was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he died.

Brown had called 911 to report her husband had been shot, but she did not admit to any wrongdoing, cops said.

She was charged Friday night with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.

A judge on Saturday ordered that she be held without bail.

After her Brooklyn Criminal Court arraignment, her lawyer, Howard Greenberg, told The Post that his client and Bosalavage were not married, but instead were lovers who had been together for three years.

He claimed that Bosalavage, who “was under enormous pressure going through a divorce from a loveless marriage,” actually shot himself as Brown watched. He called his client’s arrest “collateral damage” in the case.

“Uncle Sam was breathing down his neck for back taxes,” Greenberg said. “He had an unstable history and tried to take his life before. He refused any treatment and therapy and he brought the firearm that was used into the home.

“I don’t give a f–k what the police think,” he added. “You can quote me on that.”

A man who claimed to be Brown’s brother told The Post he didn’t know what happened, and hadn’t gotten a chance to speak with his sister yet.
