‘Wife slay’ scrutiny
Cops yesterday kept a close eye on ex-NYPD Officer Eddy Coello, the prime suspect in the strangulation of his wife, Tina Adovasio, as he remained holed up in a relative’s home.
Officers were at Adovasio’s wake to make sure Coello didn’t try to show up, police sources said. The Bronx DA is waiting for DNA test results to beef up the case against Coello, 38, who was forced to resign as a housing cop in 2000 because of an incident involving his former girlfriend, Glory Perez.
“I had a blown eardrum from a smack once,” Perez told The Post yesterday.
