A hulking Long Island college student yesterday went berserk and led police on a high-speed chase before being shot as he tried to run over some of the officers — in one of their own patrol cars, investigators said.

Three cops and four civilians were injured in the wild chase sparked by Hofstra University student Brandon Pasker, 21, at 1 a.m. at the Broadway Mall Shopping Center in Hicksville, said Nassau County Detective Lt. Kevin Smith.

Smith said they were trying to determine a motive for the 6-foot-3, 230-

pound Pasker, who was taken into custody and hospitalized with wrist and arm wounds.
