The man stabbed by a random attacker in a Bronx subway station died early Friday — as cops released chilling video of the Thursday night attack.
The 38-year-old victim — who was brutally assaulted at the 176th Street and Jerome Avenue station, just outside the northbound No. 4 train — succumbed to his injuries around 6 a.m. Friday, authorities said.
The footage, released by cops a short time earlier, shows the victim and the suspect — wearing all black — scuffling on the northbound platform while the train was still in the station.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was initially listed in serious but stable condition before he took a turn for the worse, authorities said.
A woman answering the phone at a possible address for the victim’s mother Friday wept as she told The Post, “He was my baby child.’’

“He was a good guy. Always with his kids,” the woman said.
“It’s heartbreaking.”
No arrests had been made by Friday evening.
The suspect — who fled westbound on East 176 Street — is described as having a dark complexion and is around 5 feet 11 and 160 pounds, with a medium build.
The individual was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black Nike sneakers with a gray logo and carrying a black backpack.
