Catbird, a self-described purveyor of ‘trademark fine, personal jewelry’ and ‘ethically sourced, conflict-free stones,’ was hit just after 5 a.m. Thursday.

The alarm at 219 Bedford Avenue had gone off, and cops found the front gate cut and a glass door smashed.About 20 pieces boosted, estimated to be worth approximately $300,000, according to sources.

An empty glass display was seen Friday morning with a framed note to customers explaining the whereabouts of the missing merchandise, saying:

“Hi! The reason this case is empty is because we got robbed in the middle of the night (it was bad, but no one was hurt and that’s all that matters!)”

“Please ask us if you cant find what you’re looking for!”

Catbird employees declined to comment, Friday.
