ROCHESTER, NY — New York wineries say the feds are hurting business by taking months instead of days to OK bottle labels.

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) yesterday visited two Finger Lakes wineries to press the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau to speed things up.

“This backlog has far too many New York wineries over a barrel,” he said at Giancarelli Brothers in Weedsport, near Syracuse.

Calls to the bureau went unreturned.
