‘Wiseguy’ nabbed in ’92 slay
The last suspect in an 18-year-old Bronx mob rubout was arrested yesterday, cops said.
Paul “Doc” Gaccione, 62, allegedly had been the getaway driver for Angelo Prisco in the June 1992 murder of Prisco’s cousin Angelo Sangiuolo.
Prisco got the go-ahead from then-Genovese boss Vincent “The Chin” Gigante because Sangiuolo was robbing Genovese gambling joints.
Sangiuolo was fatally shot in a van in a McDonald’s parking lot on Westchester Avenue.
Prisco waited until a subway train passed over nearby elevated tracks so the gunshot would be muzzled.
Gaccione was charged with murder and was awaiting extradition from New Jersey last night.
Prisco, who was a captain in the crime family, was sentenced to life for the murder last April.
