‘Witness’ to renaissance
The one-time “Waldorf-Astoria of Brooklyn” could be making a comeback.
Following a failed attempt in 2008 to bring student housing to the former Hotel Bossert in Brooklyn Heights, the Jehovah’s Witnesses are now seeking a city-zoning change to allow its prime real estate at 98 Montague St. to be sold and used once again as a hotel.
Most of the high-rise houses Jehovah’s Witness volunteers. The organization declined comment.
