She wasn’t ready for her close-up — but she wants the footage anyway.
An aspiring actress busted for allegedly attacking a bartender and a manager at Smith & Wollensky’s tap room claims in court papers the famed Midtown steakhouse intentionally destroyed surveillance video that clears her.
Jennifer Sachs — who filed a $15 million false-arrest suit after the charges against her were tossed — says one of her lawyers spotted cameras in Wollensky’s Grill, a barroom within the restaurant, immediately after her arrest.
In court papers, Smith & Wollensky lawyer John Mulcahy said, “There is not now nor has there ever been a videotape, a digital recording or any other recording of the incident.”
The filing says the security system suddenly shut down when a “brownout” hit about two hours before Sachs’ arrest.
