Law-enforcement sources told The Post that a preliminary investigation suggested the victim may have been targeted after a fight with her boyfriend.
The woman was inside her third-floor apartment on Belmont Avenue near Shepherd Avenue in East New York when she was shot around 7:15 a.m., authorities said.
She was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cops are still looking for possible surveillance footage of the incident, according to sources.
