A mugger pummeled a 43-year-old woman before snatching her glasses and cellphone inside a Brooklyn train station, cops said.
The straphanger was standing on the platform at the Avenue I station in Midwood around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when a man approached her with a knife and repeatedly punched her in an unprovoked attack, authorities said.
He also grabbed her glasses and her cellphone, which fell to the ground during the senseless beating, police said.
A mugger attacked a Brooklyn straphanger in the city’s latest transit attack Tuesday.
The suspect fled the station — which is serviced by the F train — after the assault.
He was captured on surveillance video – released by cops on Wednesday – skulking through the station in a green jacket and a black hat.
The victim refused medical attention, cops said.
