A Bronx housing-project blaze claimed the life of a woman, authorities said today.

The fire broke out just before midnight yesterday on the sixth floor of the Parkside Houses on Arnow Avenue in Bronxwood. It took firefighters an hour to control the flames, said a spokesman for the Fire Department.

Building resident Alease Jenkins, 64, was critically injured and rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she later died from smoke inhalation.

A 49-year-old woman also was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with injuries. She is in stable condition, sources said.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious, authorities said..
