A woman attacked an elderly parishioner inside an Upper East Side church, officials said.

The 70-year-old woman was inside Church of St. Monica on East 79th Street around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday when her attacker suddenly socked her in the face, cops said. The attacker then fled.

Police said the woman’s attacker is known to frequent the area, and possibly goes by the name “Annie.”

The victim suffered cuts and bruising to her face, and was treated by EMS at the scene.

The NYPD’s 19th Precinct posted a video of “Annie” on Twitter late Wednesday, wearing a black jacket with a hood and carrying a backpack.
