A Manhattan woman with a history of miscarriages says her boss kept asking when she would “pop” out a baby, then fired her when she did.
Supriya Laknidhi says in a Manhattan Supreme Court suit that Michael Laskoff, CEO of health-care firm AbilTo, made daily remarks to her after she began working for him in April, including, “Can you have that baby soon?” and “When are you going to pop?”
She complained, and when she returned from maternity leave, a supervisor fired her, the lawsuit alleges.
Laknidhi is seeking unspecified damages. AbilTo and Laskoff did not return a message seeking comment.
