A woman was left in critical condition and four others were injured after drivers of two SUVs slammed into each other on Staten Island’s south shore Saturday afternoon, police and fire officials said.

The vehicles collided near the intersection of Luten Avenue and Hylan Boulevard in Huguenot.

The woman, 28, was transported to Staten Island University Hospital, Prince’s Bay, in serious condition.

Police made an arrest at the scene, though no details were immediately available.
