A woman was critically injured when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver as she crossed a Brooklyn street early Saturday, police said.
The unidentified 27-year-old woman was crossing Rodney Street from west to east near Hope Street in Williamsburg at around 12:30 a.m. when a taxi cab stopped to allow her to cross, cops said.
As she crossed the street, a gray 2000 BMW sedan, pictured here, passed the taxi on the right-hand side and struck her, police said. The BMW then fled the scene.
Emergency responders rushed the woman, who suffered serious head trauma from the crash, to Bellevue Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
