A 20-year-old woman has died four days after she was struck by a marked police car a short walk from her home in the Bronx, police said.

Sophia Gomez, of Pelham Parkway, was struck Monday afternoon and succumbed to her injuries Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at Jacobi Hospital, where she had been transported for her injuries.

The caught on video crash happened around 3:30 p.m near the intersection of Pelham Parkway South and Wallace Avenue.

A single pink running shoe was on the side of the road as police investigated the scene.

The officers in the NYPD highway cruiser were responding with lights and sirens activated to a report of an officer in need of assistance after stopping a vehicle on the Throgs Neck Bridge, police said.

Further details of the crash were not immediately clear.
