A 20-year-old woman showed up to her dad’s Bronx door covered in blood after she was stabbed elsewhere in the building — only to die a short time later, cops said.
Police responded to the building on Macombs Road near Inwood Avenue in Mount Eden around 6:45 p.m., after victim Nyla Bond showed up at her father’s door on the fifth floor.
Bond had been attacked by a man in a building stairwell, and then continued up to her dad’s unit, police sources said.
When he answered, he found his gravely wounded daughter — who was initially believed to have been shot, police said.
EMS responded and rushed Bond to BronxCare Health System, formerly known as Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
At the hospital, doctors determined that Bond had actually suffered a stab wound to the chest.
She was stabbed inside her father’s building, but cops said they had no further details on the circumstances.
