A 67-year-old woman died Friday afternoon in a fire at a Bronx housing development, officials said.

The blaze broke out in the Moore Houses on East 149th Street in Mott Haven just after 4 p.m., according to the FDNY.

Firefighters extinguished the flames, which were confined to the bedroom of a sixth-floor apartment, and discovered the badly burned woman, authorities said.

First responders rushed the woman to Lincoln Hospital, but she could not be saved.

Authorities are withholding her identity pending family notification of her death.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
