MALVERNE, N.Y. — Firefighter officials say a 62-year-old died in a house fire on Long Island.

The fire occurred on Linden Street in Malverne.

Fire officials say the woman’s body was found on the first floor.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Officials say it did not appear to be suspicious.
