Cops are looking for a grand larceny suspect who escaped from their custody at Harlem Hospital.
The NYPD released a photo this morning of Tashia Evans, 28, who was arrested Monday for writing bad checks, using stolen credit cards, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
She was taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pains, police said.
While at the hospital, Evans, who was in handcuffs, escaped at about 1:30 p.m. just as a nurse prepared to examine her.
Thenescape sparked a massive search of the building and area, but turned up nothing. .
The officer who was responsible for her has been suspended, sources said. The cop has not been identified.
Police described Evans as 5-foot-2, 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a black parka jacket and gray pants.
Evans has been arrsted six previous times, mostly for passing bad checks.
