A 26-year-old woman fainted and fell onto the subway tracks tonight at Union Square.

An Eighth Avenue-bound L train pulling into the station just after 7 p.m. was able to stop before running her over.

She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with cuts to her head, but miraculously, no serious injuries.

Cops said the woman may have fainted and there was no criminality. Train service was halted between Eighth Avenue and Bedford Avenue for a little less than an hour.
