A 40-year-old woman was killed when she was run down by an elderly driver in Brooklyn on Wednesday, police said.

The unidentified woman was crossing in the middle of Pearl Street near Willoughby Street at about 9:30 a.m. when she was hit by a Ford SUV, according to officials.

She was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The 81-year-old driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

The woman’s identity was being withheld while family is notified.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
