A woman was fatally struck by an LIRR equipment train in Queens early Tuesday, according to cops and MTA officials.

The woman was hit around 5 a.m. Tuesday close to the Woodside station on the Port Washington line, cops said.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

In a tweet just after the incident, the LIRR said service was temporarily suspended in both directions between Jamaica and Penn Station, “due to an unauthorized person on the tracks being struck by an equipment train near Woodside.”

Limited service has since been restored, the LIRR tweeted around 7:30 a.m.

“The Medical Examiner has arrived at the scene,” the LIRR said. “We are experiencing delays and cancellations.”
