A woman fought off a would-be rapist in Brooklyn earlier this week, police said Thursday.
The attacker followed a 42-year-old woman into an apartment building near Berry and South 10th streets at 7:45 a.m. on Monday, authorities said.
“The individual proceeded to physically attack the victim by placing his hand over her mouth and attempted to sexually assault her,” according to a police statement.
But the woman fought back and the violent perv took off.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect, who is about 5-foot-9, 170 pounds with a short haircut. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and black sneakers, a baseball hat, and carrying a messenger bag.
