A brave woman fought off a would-be rapist who attacked her inside a Lower Manhattan subway station, cops said Monday.

The 21-year-old woman was about to go through the turnstile at the Fulton Street station near Nassau Street in the Financial District around 11:00 p.m. March 31 when a man crept up behind her and grabbed her neck, cops said.

The brute covered her mouth with his hand and dragged her toward the station’s elevator, where he told her, “I just want to love you baby,” cops said.

The woman screamed, bit into his hand, and kicked an emergency intercom button near the elevator, cops said.

The attacker — believed to be in his 20s, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, and approximately 180 pounds — let go of the woman and ran, cops said.

Police are looking for the suspect, who was caught on surveillance video fleeing the scene. He was wearing a gray hooded ski jacket, cops said.

No injuries were reported, cops said.
