A woman was found dead Sunday morning in her Bronx home with “puncture wounds,” police said.

Cops found the 40-year-old woman around 8 a.m. unresponsive, with apparent trauma to her head and body in her home on E. 187th Street near Bathgate Avenue in Baychester, according to the NYPD.

The woman, whose name was not released, could not be saved, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine how the woman died.
