


A 29-year-old school teacher was killed Tuesday morning when she was mowed over by two vehicles — first a hit-run SUV, then an empty school bus — as she crossed the road near her Brooklyn home on her way to work, cops and family said.

“She was one of the best kids you can ever have,” said Booker’s grieving father, Herman Booker, 53. The hit-run driver “needs to come and give himself up. ‘You need to own up to this.'”
Police say Hermanda Booker was crossing Nostrand Avenue near Kings Highway at about 6:45 a.m. when a white SUV struck her and sped away. Moments later, the bus crashed into her. There were no children on the school bus, and the driver remained on scene.
