An elderly woman suffered a fractured skull and is now in a coma thanks to a red-light-running cyclist who slammed into her in Midtown, police and sources said Thursday.

The 67-year-old was using the crosswalk to traverse West 57th Street near 6th Avenue around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday when the bicyclist crashed into her as he headed towards Fifth Avenue, cops said.

The woman was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in serious condition, and is currently in a coma, police sources said.

The 40-year-old cyclist remained at the scene and told cops his gears weren’t moving correctly and his brakes weren’t working, according to the police sources.

Cops issued the cyclist a ticket for allegedly blowing through the red light, according to officials.
